  • Tied Together - Our Newest Ambassadors

At Tied Together we like a good pun, and we also like a good ambassador. And so when The Sunday Mail in Adelaide wanted to run a great story on our new ambassadors with a clever pun for the title, it was a no brainer.

We are delighted to announce that a couple of Australian sporting legends have just signed on to support Tied Together as ambassadors. We would like to introduce to you Bruce Djite and Adam Gibson.

Bruce is an A-League footballer currently playing for Adelaide United. He has a strong connection to charity and is currently involved as an ambassador for “All Together Now” and “The Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation”.

Adam is an Australian basketball player currently captaining the Adelaide 36ers in the National Basketball League. Adam is also a part of the Australian Boomers Squad as well as an ambassador for the Royal Society for the Blind.

You can view both ambassador profiles via the links below.

  • Tied Together - Our National Television Debut

As the alarm began to buzz at 3.30am, it was clear that Morning Television is not for the faint hearted. After a long taxi ride, several coffees, a bumpy flight, and another taxi ride, Tied Together, along with Ambassador Hugh Sheridan arrived at the Channel 7 Studios. It was Thursday November 20th and the excitement levels were at an all-time high.

Just 8 weeks after launching, our brand and ambassador Hugh Sheridan had been invited to appear on The Morning Show with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies. After running through make-up, meeting the hosts and having a quick chat with Kochie, it was time for Hugh to hit the stage and tell The Australian public about Tied Together.

We must say a huge thank you to Channel 7, Larry and Kylie, and of course Hugh for doing such a great job representing and launching our brand.

  • Sea Shepherd Australia launch Operation Icefish

    Operation Icefish

Although the International Court of Justice has declared that the Japanese whaling program in Antarctic is illegal, the Japanese Government has announced that their whaling fleet will be returning to the southern ocean in 2014/15 to conduct non lethal surveying of whales with the intention of resuming full scale lethal whaling in the 2015/16 season.

Operation Icefish will see Sea Shepherd return to Antarctica to confront the Japanese whale poachers, should they decide to resume their illegal whaling operations this coming season. However, if the whale poachers abide by their promise to not kill whales, then Sea Shepherd will take the opportunity to target the illegal fishing of Patagonian and Antarctic toothfish in the Southern Ocean, shifting focus from saving endangered whales to protecting vulnerable fish and the delicate marine ecosystem that they inhabit.
