Lighthouse Foundation - Youth Homelessness

Lighthouse Foundation aims to end youth homelessness, together.

For the past 23 years, Lighthouse Foundation have supported homeless young people to take their rightful place in the community by giving them a home and a family with therapeutic care that is proven to work.

No one chooses to be homelessness. The young people who come into the care are aged 15-22 and come from backgrounds of long-term neglect and abuse. Through their Lighthouse experience, the young people heal, learn again to relate to others and rebuild their lives. Once a young person comes into Lighthouse, they become a life-long member of the family through Out-Reach and Aftercare programs. Founded by Susan Barton AM, Lighthouse depends on generous community support to enable our work to continue.  Lighthouse proudly boasts a success rate of approximately 95% in breaking the cycle of homelessness for more than 700 young people.
